Bar graphs, also known as column charts, use vertical or horizontal bars to represent data along both an x-axis and a y-axis visually. Each bar represents one value. When the bars are stacked next to one another, the viewer can compare the different bars, or values, at a glance.
Histograms displaying discrete data usually have gaps between their bars.. The independent variable on scatter plots is placed on the vertical axis on the graph.. A probability is a numerical value that indicates the chance, or likelihood, of a specific event occurring.
Figure 3(b) clearly shows that the combined influence of the vertical and horizontal components of the NFGMs significantly influences the probability of moderate damage when the intensity of the horizontal component is greater than 0.5 g. The probability of moderate damage increases with the intensity ratio. Figure 3(d) shows that the collapse probability of the studied chimney structure.
The vertical bar symbol is used for the conditional probability.
Each vertical bar is a representation of the probability for each value that occur for discrete distributions. Answer and Explanation: For a binomial histogram, the sum of area under bars is equal.
