A new NHS Northern Gambling Clinic has opened in Leeds to serve the North of England and provide support to individuals with complex needs in relation to gambling-related harm. Additionally the National Problem Gambling Clinic in London will provide specialist help for children and young people aged 13-25. Furthermore, the National Gambling Helpline now provides free support 24 hours a day.
Today, the first National Health Service (NHS) gambling clinic outside London, is set to open doors in Leeds.According to reports, there are currently over 10,000 gambling addicts in the city. The results of a recent survey have shown that problem gambling “costs” the UK one life on a daily basis.
